Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Humbot ("the Service") at humbot.one or web.humbot.one, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Humbot is an AI-powered writing assistant that provides text humanization, AI chat, plagiarism detection, resume building, AI image generation, and related tools. The Service is powered in part by OpenAI's language models and other third-party AI providers. Features and availability may change at any time without prior notice.

3. Accounts and Registration

  • You may register using your email and password or via Google Auth (Firebase). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription ("Premium"). Subscription billing and entitlement management is handled through RevenueCat. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at checkout.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time unless required by law.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable prior notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
  • All payments are processed securely. We do not store your full payment card details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Generate, distribute, or promote content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, hateful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Engage in academic dishonesty or submit AI-generated content in violation of your institution's policies without appropriate disclosure.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models or systems.
  • Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable personal use.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence, including OpenAI's models, to generate text and other content. AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or bias. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding how to use any content generated by the Service. Humbot makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding user-generated content) are and will remain the exclusive property of Humbot and its licensors.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant Humbot a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and store that content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Humbot and its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the jurisdiction where Humbot operates.
