Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

In short: use Humbot to write, learn, create and get things done. Do not use it to imitate real people, to make sexual or hateful content, to deceive or harm anyone, or to pass off AI work as your own where that is not allowed. Serious or repeated violations end your access.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Humbot (humbot.one), on any plan, and forms part of our Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, this policy governs how the AI features may be used.

2. What our AI features do — and do not do

So that there is no ambiguity about what Humbot offers:

  • AI Chat holds text conversations. You may attach images or text files for the assistant to describe, summarise or analyse. Attachments are never used to edit, alter or generate images.
  • Humanizer AI rewrites text you supply into a tone you choose, keeping its meaning. It is an editing tool for your own drafts.
  • Image Generator creates images from a written description only. It does not accept a photograph as a starting point, does not edit or retouch existing images, does not swap faces, and does not generate video.
  • Voice AI turns your speech into text using your browser's built-in speech recognition so you can talk to the assistant. Humbot does not record, clone, imitate or reproduce any real person's voice.
  • Plagiarism Checker compares text you submit against publicly available web sources.

3. Real people, likeness and identity

You may not use Humbot to:

  • Generate images, audio or text that depict or imitate a real, identifiable person — including public figures — without that person's explicit consent.
  • Create "deepfakes", face swaps, or any synthetic media designed to make it appear that a real person said or did something they did not.
  • Impersonate or clone anyone's voice, or present AI-generated speech as a real person's.
  • Create sexual, intimate or nude imagery of any real person.
  • Make automated decisions about people — for example eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, education or benefits — or categorise people by protected characteristics.

4. Content you may not create or share

  • Minors: any sexual content involving a minor, real or synthetic. We have zero tolerance and report it to the relevant authorities.
  • Adult content: pornographic or sexually explicit material.
  • Violence and hate: content that threatens, incites or celebrates violence, or that attacks people on the basis of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin or any other protected characteristic. Promotion of self-harm.
  • Illegal or infringing content: anything unlawful in your jurisdiction, or that infringes another party's copyright, trademark or other rights.
  • Harmful software and unauthorised access: malware, phishing kits, credential theft, or instructions for gaining access to systems or data you are not authorised to use.

5. Deception and spam

  • Fraud, scams, or misrepresenting who you are or who you speak for.
  • Fake reviews, testimonials or endorsements.
  • Mass unsolicited messaging, or automated posting designed to manipulate engagement on other platforms.
  • Disinformation presented as fact, including fabricated news or quotes.

6. Academic and professional integrity

Humbot is a learning and writing aid. It is not a way around the rules you have agreed to elsewhere.

  • Do not submit AI-generated or AI-rewritten work as your own where your school, university, employer or publisher prohibits it or requires disclosure.
  • Do not use Humanizer AI, or any other feature, to conceal authorship or to circumvent an academic-integrity or AI-disclosure policy. Humanizer is for improving the readability and tone of your own writing.
  • Do not use Humbot to produce work for sale to others as if it were written by them (essay mills and ghostwriting services).

7. Advice you should not rely on

Humbot is a general-purpose assistant. It is not a doctor, lawyer, accountant or financial adviser, and its answers can be wrong. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.

8. Using the platform fairly

  • Do not scrape, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts.
  • Do not share accounts, resell access, or circumvent plan limits or safety systems.
  • Do not use automated tools to access the Service beyond reasonable personal use.

9. Your rights and consent in what you upload

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions for anything you upload or paste into Humbot, including other people's writing and photographs of other people, and for how you use what Humbot produces. If you are unsure whether you have consent, do not upload it.

10. How we enforce this policy

Our AI providers apply their own safety systems, and Humbot may refuse a request, remove content, limit a feature, or suspend or terminate an account for a violation. Serious violations — including anything in sections 3 and 4 — result in immediate termination, without refund, in accordance with our Refund Policy.

We cooperate with law enforcement and report illegal content, including any sexual content involving minors, to the appropriate authorities.

11. Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is using Humbot in a way that breaks this policy, or that your likeness or work has been used without consent, email nikhil@humbaa.com or message us on WhatsApp. Include links or screenshots where you can.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our features and the law change. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of Humbot after an update means you accept the revised policy.
